Mimeses North is a newly formed collective of emerging photographers from across the north of England held together by a common philosophy through which all are motivated by concern for the welfare of mankind and the sustainability of environment and resources. All seek to imbue their work with a sense of awe or beauty alongside critical engagement with social and cultural issues.
The works in this exhibition are individual explorations of place, home and history, each a distinctive personal reflection on contemporary living.
